NO SKY ABOVE
Continuing the themes of Fading Boundaries, No Sky Above delves deeper into a space where distinctions dissolve—not only between earth and sky, but between perception and memory.
From above, my view is stripped of its usual references. The sky disappears from sight, leaving only the shifting textures of the landscape below. In black and white, my images become abstract—fields, forests, and bodies of water lose their familiar forms, transforming into patterns of light and shadow that hover between reality and illusion.
Without the grounding presence of a horizon, everything feels weightless. The absence of the sky alters my perception—what is above and what is below become uncertain. This perspective mirrors the nature of memory: fluid, fragmented, and constantly reshaping itself.
