FAR NORTH
2015
In 2015 I took my youngest daughter on a trip to Alaska after she had recovered from a serious illness. I had no intention to photograph, but was mesmerized by the colorful skies and interested how it would translate in a black-and-white image. The outcome was as surprising as the original idea was bold. Suddenly only the form mattered and the strong contrast, which drew lines through the sky like a spiderweb. The image of the Trans-Alaska Pipleine was selected for the Climate Change Summit in Paris COP15 and went on a travel exhibition around the world.
